The journey begins in a wooded area and moves to the grit of an urban landscape. This piece is a dark and humorous look at integration and migration. The video’s quick-paced movements and music are reminiscent of commercials of black athletes who display their athletic prowess for public consumption. In an American society in which physical artistic movement is underappreciated, athleticism is often the resort.
